چکیده
Coxiellaburnetii is an obligate intracellular Gram-negative bacterium that causes Q fever in humans. Detection of raw milk sample accomplished by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) or enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) methods. This study was aimed to determine the seroprevalence coxiellaburnetii bulk tank samples 24 cattle and 8 goats, which were offered for sale Erzurum, Turkey. Moreover, pH values also measured detect possible relation with value C. burnetiiseropositivity sample. burnetii found positive 16 (66.7%) samples, 1 (12.5%) goat milk. No statistically significant observed between positivity samples. In conclusion, seropositivity very high The sold local market may cause shedding fever. Therefore, should be subjected heat treatment before consumption prevent transmission disease.

Coxiella burnetii in Bulk Tank Milk Samples, United States
Dairy cattle are a primary reservoir of Coxiella burnetii, which causes Q fever. However, no recent nationwide studies have assessed the prevalence and risks of Q fever in dairy cattle. We report >or=94% prevalence in samples of bulk tank milk from U.S. dairy herds tested during the past 3 years.

ABSTRACT Background and Objectives: Q fever is a zoonotic disease caused by an obligate gram-negative intracellular pathogen called Coxiella burnetii. The aim of this study was to determine the seroprevalence of anti-C. burnetii antibodies in bulk tank milk (BTM) samples of dairy cattle in west and northwest of Iran. Me...
متن کاملRisk factors for Coxiella burnetii antibodies in bulk tank milk from Danish dairy herds
The aim was to identify risk factors associated with Coxiella burnetii antibody positivity in bulk tank milk (BTM) samples from 100 randomly selected Danish dairy cattle herds. Antibody levels were measured by an enzyme-linked immuno-sorbent assay. Before testing the herds, the farm managers were interviewed about hired labour, biosecurity, housing and herd health during the 12 months prior to ...
متن کاملCoxiella burnetii in bulk tank milk and antibodies in farm workers at Montería, Colombia¤
Background: Q fever is a zoonotic disease caused by Coxiella burnetii. In Colombia it is not a notifiable disease in humans and is most likely under diagnosed. There are no studies about its prevalence in important reservoir species, such as cattle. Objective: the aim of this study was to investigate the frequency of C . burnetii infection in cattle farms and determine the frequency of antibodi...
متن کاملDetermination of Coxiella burnetii seroprevalence in macropods in Australia.
Many animal species, including macropods, have the potential to act as atypical reservoirs of the causative agent of Q fever, Coxiella burnetii. The objective of this study was to determine the seroprevalence of C. burnetii in various macropod species in Australia. Competitive and indirect ELISAs were developed for the testing of macropod sera for antibodies to phase II and I C. burnetii antige...
